MUNAY- Peruvian Sacha Inchi Oil- Meaning "Love for People, Life and the Earth" in Quecha
Love • Beauty • Connection
Love, Bottled.
From the lush landscapes of Peru comes an extraordinary botanical oil with a story as beautiful as the skin it touches.
MUNAY takes its name from the Quechua language and Andean tradition of Peru. Munay is associated with love—a love that reaches beyond romance to encompass people, life, nature and the Earth. In Quechua and Andean traditions, the word carries ideas of love, desire, intention and connection, including the relationship between people and the natural world.
We chose the name MUNAY to honor the Peruvian origin of Sacha Inchi and the beautiful idea that caring for ourselves and caring for the world around us can come from the same place: love.
The Beauty Secret of the Peruvian Amazon
Sacha Inchi (Plukenetia volubilis) is native to the Peruvian Amazon and has been cultivated in South America for centuries. Its precious seeds produce an exceptionally nutrient-rich botanical oil prized for its remarkable fatty-acid composition.
Naturally abundant in Omega-3 alpha-linolenic acid and Omega-6 linoleic acid, along with Omega-9 oleic acid and naturally occurring tocopherols, Sacha Inchi has an unusually rich profile of unsaturated fatty acids.
For the skin, that translates into a beautifully conditioning oil that leaves the complexion feeling soft, supple, nourished and luxuriously cared for.
A Beautifully Rare Lipid Profile
What makes MUNAY special is its extraordinary concentration of polyunsaturated fatty acids.
Omega-3 (Alpha-Linolenic Acid)
Helps condition dry-feeling skin and supports a soft, comfortable complexion.
Omega-6 (Linoleic Acid)
An important fatty acid valued in skincare for helping maintain the skin’s smooth, supple feel.
Omega-9 (Oleic Acid)
Adds richness and conditioning, helping skin feel beautifully softened.
Naturally Occurring Tocopherols
Sacha Inchi oil naturally contains tocopherols, including gamma- and delta-tocopherol.
An Ancient Botanical. A Modern Luxury.
Long before Sacha Inchi found its way into modern luxury skincare, the plant had a history of traditional use among people of Peru. Historical literature describes Sacha Inchi seed preparations and oil being used for skin care, including maintaining skin softness.
MUNAY celebrates that botanical heritage in its purest form: a beautiful oil from Peru, presented as part of Wyoming Wildflower’s Around the World Collection.

Warm 2–4 drops between your fingertips and gently press onto clean skin. Use alone or as the final oil step of your skincare ritual to help seal in moisture.
