TAPAI isn’t ordinary rice water.
Rice is carefully fermented over time, allowing nature to transform something beautifully simple into a complex, milky essence. The fermentation process increases naturally occurring inositol while creating an ingredient containing amino acids, antioxidants and naturally occurring vitamins and minerals.
And we didn’t stop with fermented rice.
TAPAI pairs our fermented rice base with green tea hydrosol, panthenol, propanediol, glycerin and squalane to create an exceptionally lightweight hydration layer.

The Story Behind the Name
Tapai is a traditional term associated with fermented foods throughout Southeast Asia, particularly Indonesia and Malaysia, where rice and other starches have been transformed through fermentation for generations.
We chose the name TAPAI as a nod to the fermentation tradition behind the ingredient.
This isn’t a claim that traditional tapai was used as skincare. Rather, TAPAI celebrates the ancient art of fermentation while bringing a modern, cosmetic-grade fermented rice ingredient into your daily skincare ritual.
